Mould growth can be a severe issue often requiring professional assistance to eliminate efficiently. Since mould is favored by high indoor humidity, installing a high-quality ventilation system can be an effective way to prevent mould colonies.

Sky Ventilation launched a full range of services for homeowners and landlords looking to improve air quality and eliminate and prevent mould growth. By providing a wide range of indoor ventilation, extraction and dehumidification solutions, the London company aims to respond to the needs of a wide range of clients.

The company provides complete installation of high-quality extractor fans and multi-room ventilation units. These solutions are ideal for homeowners and landlords looking to eliminate indoor moisture, improve overall air flow, remove water build-up and prevent mould growth.

PIV (positive input ventilation) installation services are also available. These whole-house ventilation units are best for loft and flat spaces, ensuring free air flow and improving overall air quality. According to the official Sky Ventilation website, PIV systems offer a constant supply of fresh air for medium and large areas and can reduce symptoms of allergies and asthma by preventing mould growth.

Clients can also contact Sky Ventilation for bespoke heat recovery solutions. The company works closely with each client to install an appropriate system to improve air flow, reduce heating costs, and prevent mould accumulations.

Complete mould cleaning services are also available, the company using high-efficiency hypoallergenic solutions to eliminate mould growth and clean the affected areas.

The recent service update is part of the company’s efforts to provide cutting-edge indoor air ventilation and mould elimination services for clients in London, Essex, Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Oxfordshire.

In Uganda a pop star takes on a president, at his peril

Aug 18, 2018

KAMPALA, Uganda — In his red beret and jumpsuit the Ugandan pop star Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, better known as Bobi Wine, leads cheering campaigners down a street, punching the air and waving the national flag. Once considered a marijuana-loving crooner, the 36-year-old "ghetto child" is an unlikely new political phenomenon — and that has put him in danger as an opposition lawmaker taking on one of Africa's longest-serving leaders. On Friday he alleged he was "severely tortured" by security forces during an arrest this week. The new member of parliament has urged his countrymen to stand up against what he calls...

ATLANTA — An Atlanta-area property company is suing Grammy-winning R&B artist R. Kelly for $203,400 over "extensive damage" to two homes he rented. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports SB Property Management Global, LLC., based in East Point, filed the lawsuit Wednesday. It says one home suffered damage to electric wiring, flooring, and windows and was missing items including a stove, furniture, ceiling fans and 22 light fixtures. These are the same homes an associate of Kelly's was accused of robbing in 2017. Alfonso L. Walker was charged with theft and burglary. Kelly and the company settled in April 2018 for $170,000,...

In a comeback season for Hollywood, a summer without bombs

Aug 18, 2018

NEW YORK — Have you noticed something oddly tranquil about this summer movie season? For the first time in recent memory, there hasn't been one major bomb. Usually by now, there would be blockbuster-sized craters left on the charred summer-movie battlefield, the inevitable toll of Hollywood's most high-stakes season. But this year, summer-movie bomb-watching, long one of the most dependable spectator sports of the season, has gone entirely without the sight of a "Lone Ranger"-sized mushroom cloud. After the cataclysmic, the-sky-is-falling summer of 2017, when overall grosses slid 14.6 percent from the year before, Hollywood has rebounded. Ticket sales in...

Producer who worked with Franklin recalls great performances

Aug 18, 2018

NEW YORK — When Ken Ehrlich, the longtime producer of the Grammys and other awards shows, worked with the Obama administration on a concert honoring women at the White House, first lady Michelle Obama laid down one rule. "You aren't doing a tribute to women in my house without Aretha Franklin," Ehrlich recalls Obama telling him. And so Franklin — a longtime friend of Ehrlich — was added to the 2014 "Women of Soul" bill, which included Patti LaBelle, Ariana Grande, Janelle Monae and Tessanne Chin. Despite those illustrious names and subsequent rousing performances, it was Franklin who of course...
