Maryland, United States - October 3, 2023 /MarketersMEDIA/ —

20four7VA’s impact initiative The Buffalo City Project has been shortlisted as one of 26 finalists for the 2023 Outsource Accelerator (OA) Outsourcing Impact Awards. The company was recognized among numerous entries for its impactful contributions to the outsourcing industry.

The Buffalo City Project, a collaborative effort between 20four7VA, Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator, and the Loomee Group, is a transformative initiative aimed at addressing the high unemployment rates in Buffalo City, South Africa. In this region, many young women face limited job opportunities, leading to exploitative labor practices and unsafe working conditions.

At its core, the Buffalo City Project seeks to empower and uplift at-risk young women by providing them with sustainable employment opportunities. The project involves a comprehensive approach that includes subsidized training in essential virtual assistant (VA) skills, such as communication, customer service, and technical proficiency.

The OA Outsourcing Impact Awards aims to celebrate companies that drive positive change and demonstrate transformative impacts in outsourcing.

20four7VA’s The Buffalo City Project was shortlisted as a finalist in the "Outsourcing Impact on Community Building" category, which acknowledges outsourcing companies that have made a profound impact on the communities they serve by implementing transformative initiatives and projects. These efforts have brought about positive change, uplifted lives, and created a lasting difference at the local, national, or global level.

As a finalist under the Outsourcing Impact on Community Building category, 20four7VA will be featured in the 2023 OA Outsourcing Impact Report alongside other top industry contributors.

The annual OA Outsourcing Impact Report highlights the narratives and initiatives of shortlisted companies. By showcasing positive societal impacts, the report fosters understanding of how strategic outsourcing can drive change.

Winners of the 2023 OA Outsourcing Impact Awards will be announced concurrently with the release of the report on October 27th.

"We are deeply honored to have been shortlisted for the OA Outsourcing Impact Review 2023 award," stated Catherine vanVonno, President and CEO at 20four7VA.
