The new report furthermore cites the company’s determination to help fix the flaws in a fragmented healthcare system by working to ensure that the customized care needed by patients – the hodgepodge of treatments, pills, therapies, and schedules – can be covered by the patients’ employer-sponsored plans.
A recent Gallup poll reports that a significant majority of Americans find the healthcare system unsatisfactory and 70% refer to it as either “in a state of crisis” or having “major problems.” Problems often cited are preventable medical errors, lack of transparency, insurance coverage issues, and inefficiencies. Indeed, approximately ten percent of all US deaths are caused by medical errors, making it the third leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer.

P3CM® provides evidence-based, independent medical management for self-funded major medical health plans. This process improves health care quality for patients and ensures that the claims costs of their self-funded major medical health plan sponsor are well controlled.

In an effort to nurture smarter consumers of healthcare benefits within a particular plan, P3CM® integrates or combines a host of factors/systems, including wellness and disease management, claims data mining, predictive risk modeling, catastrophic case management, transplant coordination, light case management, and telehealth.
After being identified as a possible candidate, the patient is contacted by a professional nurse who will evaluate how AIMM services can improve the quality of care the patient is receiving and/or lower the cost of health care without compromising the level of treatment offered.
