AsiaSport acquires South East Asia's leading live sports website to strengthen its dominance in the region. AsiaSport is a fan favourite among football lovers and covers all top league matches worldwide.
Thailand - December 3, 2021 /MarketersMEDIA/ —
AsiaSport has acquired Sports168.com, South East Asia’s leading live sports website. In line with the acquisition, AsiaSport has rebranded the website to its namesake in its corporate decision to strengthen its identity as the top sports website in the region. Its Facebook pages have also been renamed AsiaSport.
AsiaSport.com is a favourite among football fans for its offering of match live scores. Fixtures of top leagues worldwide such as English Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Spanish La Liga, Italy Serie A and Germany Bundesliga are published on the website as soon as the playtime schedules are announced, and the results are updated real-time. AsiaSport.com features local football scores from an astounding list of 150 countries, including popular South East Asian League series such as V.League 1 and Thai League 1. Each nation’s leagues and matches are easily accessible on the website at a sidebar that systematically lists the countries alphabetically. AsiaSport.com is one of the few, if not only, website that offers multi-lingual news and highlights in English, Thai and Vietnamese.
AsiaSport prides itself in being more than a live score website. Sports fans can count on AsiaSport as a comprehensive sports website that also has daily highlights and news. Fans can watch ad-free videos of each goal under ‘video highlights’, view post-match interviews given by the coaches and players or read comments from sports commentators or, all within the same platform. In-house sports bloggers also note interesting observations and statistics such as the top scorer of the season and detailed post-game football league standings, on top of posting regular updates on major football leagues. Also available as a mobile version, AsiaSport.com amasses an average of 500,000-1,000,000 visits monthly.
“There are more plans in store for AsiaSport.com once we have completed the acquisition”, said AsiaSport.com CEO. In the pipeline are plans to introduce a mobile app to make it easier for sports enthusiasts to get live scores and highlights on-the-go. There are also plans to launch more contests, in addition to the ones hosted regularly on the Facebook page, to reward loyal sports fan in conjunction with major football tournaments. AsiaSport aims even higher to be a one-stop sports website in the future by offering live scores and news on basketball, baseball, tennis, hockey, cricket and Formula One.
