Feb 9, 2024
Discount Electronics (512-459-0026), the longstanding Austin, TX-based pre-owned computer store, announces an updated range of desktop and laptop devices for the city's gaming community.
Austin, United States - February 9, 2024 /PressCable/ —
The latest update offers gamers access to an extensive inventory of machines from leading brands like Dell, HP, Microsoft, and Apple. All computers in the range are thoroughly checked, serviced, and certified by Discount Electronics' team of expert technicians and come with a one-year warranty for parts and labor.
More details can be found at https://discountelectronics.com/
Its products can be viewed at Discount Electronics' showroom on West Parmer Lane in the north of the city. Customers are invited to visit and discuss their requirements with the team. All machines can be customized and upgraded to ensure an optimal gaming experience. In addition to the reconditioned computers, a selection of parts and accessories are also available.
Recent additions to the store include the HP VR Backpack G2 Gaming Workstation PC, available for $800 - a reduction of over $2,000 from the original retail price. This unique "backpack" PC is designed for virtual reality gaming, thus comes with powerful specifications that include a Core i7 CPU with six cores, a 32-GB DDR4 memory, an NVIDIA RTX 2080 graphics card with 8-GB GDDR6 VRAM, and a 512GB NVMe solid-state drive.
While the device is designed to be worn, the backpack works like any other gaming PC and can be laid flat on a desk or workstation, which does not affect its performance in any way. The backpack's harness does not come with the device and must be ordered separately.
The product offers gamers fast render times and smooth frame rates and comes with a wide selection of ports including Thunderbolt 3, dual mini DisplayPort, Ethernet, and four USB 3.0 ports. Intel 9260 Wifi and Bluetooth 5.0 connections ensure a stable environment for work and playing applications alike.
For those more interested in a laptop device, the HP Blowout Supertop Online i7 offers impressive power for a portable machine. With 32GB of RAM, a 4GB Nvidia GPU, a 15.6-inch HD display, and Bang & Olufsen stereo speakers, the Blowout can handle multitasking and provides glitch-free performance for long gaming sessions.
A spokesperson says, “We opened in 1997 and now have three Austin area retail stores and a web fulfillment facility. We were honored on the Austin Business Journal Fast 50 in 2008, 2009, and 2010 and we were voted 'Best Computer Store' in Austin by the Austin Chronicle Readers Poll.”
