Ellie Lorenz, a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a graduate of California State University, Sacramento, has completed her new audiobook "A Life Long Spiritual Walk as a Friend of Bill W.": a stirring memoir that details the author's path through the illness of addiction towards the healing light of the Lord.
"'A Life Long Spiritual Walk as a Friend of Bill W.' is a tribute to [my] formative years, being around [my] grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, mom and dad, and all [my] loving animals," writes Lorenz. "[I have] Native roots in Canada with the Blood tribe, and in Montana with the Blackfeet tribe. All of which contribute to the woman [I am].
"[I attribute] the beginnings of [my] walk to being led to the doors of Alcoholics Anonymous on [my] most vulnerable and most teachable day, that being the day [I] began to hear for the first time in a long time.
"The rest of the journey speaks for itself. It is a journey of wonderment, fulfillment, adventure, joy, sorrow experience, and success."
Published by Audiobook Network, author Ellie Lorenz's new audiobook is a beautiful and honest look at what life can be like when battling alcohol addiction, and the healing and growth that can be found when one trusts the process and those the Lord places in one's path to provide salvation.
Listeners can purchase the audiobook edition of "A Life Long Spiritual Walk as a Friend of Bill W." by Ellie Lorenz through Audible, the Apple iTunes Store, or Amazon.
Audiobooks are the fastest growing segment in the digital publishing industry. According to The Infinite Dial 2019, 50% of Americans age 12 and older have listened to an audiobook. This huge growth can be partly attributed to increased listening in cars, which surpassed the home as the #1 audiobook listening location in the 2019 survey. Smart speaker proliferation also bodes well for future listening growth and more mainstream listening.
