H. Beaux O'Keady, a former police officer, detective, and gang task force specialist, has completed his new book "Thin Blue Lines": a gripping look at the lives of the brave women and men behind the badge. Today he is happily retired and lives on a small farm with his wife, two dogs, and assorted livestock. This is his first novel, and many of the incidents in the book are based on true events.
"Thin Blue Lines" is the story of a rookie cop's first year on the job, for a large metropolitan police department. It details the stresses of a career where life and death situations can and do occur on a daily basis.
Many of the incidents are based on true events. Sometimes funny, sometimes heart-wrenching, the reader is taken on a wild ride into a violent and often bizarre world, where cops and criminals alike struggle to survive. Culminating with a series of horrific events that will forever impact his life and those close to him, "Thin Blue Lines" is most of all a story of the people behind the badge.
