Author Jeffery P. Duval's New Book 'The Last Ole Southern Sheriff' is a Collection of Memories From a Law Enforcement Officer's Varied Experiences From Years of Service
Dec 1, 2021
Jeffery P. Duval has completed his new book "The Last Ole Southern Sheriff": a gripping and potent collection of stories that give reader's a glimpse of the author's many years of experience in law enforcement.
Author Jeffery P. Duval was the first marine patrol officer in Hernando County. He was also the founder and first elected president of the Hernando County Sheriff's Mounted Posse and Search and Rescue. Also, in 1976-1977, Jeffery was the first deputy to start a pilot program for a motorcycle unit in Hernando County.
Author Jeffery P. Duval writes, "Jeff remembered the feeling of excitement riding around in that patrol car not knowing what was going to happen next. It was on that night he realized he wanted to experience more of that excitement and wanted a future in law enforcement. As soon as Jeff could, he signed up to be a volunteer with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office to learn the ropes and to have more opportunities to ride along. He started volunteering in the office. He had no way of knowing that the long road ahead would be filled with good times and hard times, but his passion for helping people who were down on their luck and couldn't help themselves and seeing justice served would give him the desire to keep going."
Published by Newman Springs Publishing, Jeffery P. Duval's compelling work sheds a light on the sacrifices that law enforcement officers make as they dedicate their careers to serving the public.
Readers who wish to experience this impactful work can purchase "The Last Ole Southern Sheriff" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iBooks Store, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.
