Bacchus Wine & Spirits and Michelin Guide–Recommended Ethel's Fancy to Host Exclusive LOUIS XIII Limited Edition Diwali Decanter Celebration

Limited to just nine couples, the inaugural private dining experience pairs a rare LOUIS XIII Diwali Edition decanter with an extraordinary evening of fine dining, Champagne, and luxury cognac.

MENLO PARK, Calif. - Nov. 5, 2026 - PRLog -- Bacchus Wine & Spirits, an award-winning independent luxury wine and spirits retailer in Millbrae, California, is partnering with Michelin Guide–recommended Ethel's Fancy in Palo Alto to host an exclusive LOUIS XIII Diwali Celebration on November 11, 2026.

Hosted in the restaurant's private dining room and limited to just nine couples (18 guests), this first-time collaboration brings together exceptional cuisine, rare cognac, and the spirit of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, for an intimate evening celebrating craftsmanship, tradition, and hospitality.

The celebration coincides with the release of the highly limited LOUIS XIII Diwali Edition, with just 140 bottles allocated across the United States and only 20 designated for California. Bacchus Wine & Spirits has access to this rare allocation in Northern California, offering collectors and connoisseurs an opportunity to acquire this distinctive release.

A Rare Cognac Celebrating the Festival of Lights

Produced by the House of Rémy Martin, LOUIS XIII is crafted from a blend of exceptional eaux-de-vie sourced exclusively from Grande Champagne, the premier cru of the Cognac region. Some of these eaux-de-vie mature for decades, reflecting generations of expertise and craftsmanship.

The limited LOUIS XIII Diwali Edition honors the Festival of Lights, a celebration symbolizing light over darkness, prosperity, renewal, and togetherness.

With just 140 bottles allocated nationwide, including 20 for California, the edition presents a rare opportunity for collectors and luxury spirits enthusiasts.

An Exclusive LOUIS XIII Experience for Two — $4,300

For $4,300 per couple, the experience includes:

• LOUIS XIII Diwali Limited Edition 700ml Decanter: One exceptionally limited commemorative decanter to take home.
• Private Seven- to Eight-Course Dinner for Two: An exclusive dining experience at Michelin Guide–recommended Ethel's Fancy in Palo Alto.
• Rémy Cointreau Portfolio Cocktails: Featuring selections such as a Rémy Martin XO Old Fashioned, Bruichladdich 18 Old Fashioned, and The Botanist Gin French 75.
• Champagne Telmont: Served throughout the dinner to complement the culinary experience.
• LOUIS XIII Cognac: Featuring a tasting of LOUIS XIII for each guest.
• LOUIS XIII Twin Crystal Glass Gift Set: Two crystal glasses, with a stated retail value of $675.

An Extraordinary Culinary Collaboration

The evening will showcase the cuisine of Chef Scott Nishiyama, chef-owner of Ethel's Fancy, whose distinguished career includes working with renowned chefs Daniel Boulud and Thomas Keller, as well as serving as executive chef of Michelin-starred Chez TJ in Mountain View.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Nishiyama brings decades of fine-dining experience to Ethel's Fancy, which has been recognized by the Michelin Guide since 2025.

Guests will enjoy a specially curated seven to eight course dinner in the restaurant's private dining room, complemented by premium cocktails from the Rémy Cointreau portfolio, Champagne Telmont, and a culminating LOUIS XIII cognac and dessert pairing.

"LOUIS XIII represents generations of craftsmanship, patience, and tradition, and we wanted to create an experience worthy of that legacy," said Quinton Jay, Proprietor of Bacchus Wine & Spirits. "Working with Chef Scott Nishiyama gives us the opportunity to bring together extraordinary cuisine, exceptional spirits, and the cultural significance of Diwali in a truly intimate setting. With only nine couples, this is designed to be a very personal and memorable evening."
