Sep 22, 2026
Johansen Landscape & Nursery expands its fall irrigation installation and maintenance for residents and businesses in Big Spring, TX, helping property owners fit and check their watering systems following the region's long summer.
Big Spring, United States, September 22, 2026 /NewsNetwork/ -- Johansen Landscape & Nursery now offers fall irrigation installation and maintenance services throughout the Big Spring area. The move extends the company's lawn and grounds offerings into a seasonal focus, giving property owners a vital option for updating or repairing their watering systems before winter arrives.

Fall is often considered a practical window for irrigation work in Texas, explains the company. Cooler temperatures and calmer weather patterns tend to create favorable soil conditions that allow new systems to settle into the ground without the disruption of summer storms or heat. Moreover, reduced rainfall during this period is described as conducive to smoother installation timelines with fewer interruptions for crews.
Installing or updating a sprinkler system in the fall can also set up healthier growth once spring arrives, adds the team, since fall-installed systems often give lawns a head start by encouraging stronger root development before the growing season begins in earnest.
Johansen Landscape & Nursery also notes that such groundwork can make turf more resilient to drought stress and pest pressure later in the year.
“We install sprinkler systems that save you time, money, and water, while also increasing your property’s value,” explains a company representative. “Our custom systems are designed to meet your needs, professionally installed, and built with quality materials, offering a tailored irrigation solution that helps us build long-term relationships with our clients through hard work and affordable services.”
Yet, regular upkeep is recommended as well. Irrigation industry experts suggest checking systems at least twice a year (in spring and fall) to catch inefficiencies before they lead to water waste or costly repairs.
Those same experts advise property owners to reset their sprinkler timers as the seasons change and adjust their watering schedules to help limit unnecessary water usage while keeping plants healthy through the colder months - and professional guidance on such matters is now available.
Johansen Landscape & Nursery notably designs irrigation systems for individual properties, taking into consideration the needs of each unique landscaping area. The company also reports that its installations account for the demands of West Texas soil and climate, with the goal of systems that hold up across the region’s seasonal extremes.
