Calgary Stress-Related Brain Fog Naturopathic Treatment Options Announced

Calgary-based Dr. Derek Cook, ND (403-313-4354), announces a structured naturopathic approach to treating stress-related brain fog, cognitive decline, and mental fatigue in adults facing sustained workplace pressure.

Calgary, Canada, October 8, 2026 /NewsNetwork/ -- Dr. Derek Cook, ND, has announced a structured, evidence-informed naturopathic treatment approach for adults experiencing stress-related brain fog at his Calgary practice, Healthflow Naturopathic. Specifically developed for high-performing professionals and business owners, the root-cause treatment approach addresses persistent difficulty concentrating, slowed thinking, and mental fatigue commonly associated with workplace burnout and chronic stress.

The announcement comes as workplace stress continues to affect cognitive performance for many adults. According to the American Psychological Association's Stress in America survey, 47% of adults say stress negatively affects their ability to focus. For many working professionals, persistent difficulty concentrating, slowed thinking, and mental fatigue can reduce productivity, impair decision-making, and affect overall quality of life.

According to Dr. Cook, persistent brain fog often reflects multiple underlying physiological imbalances rather than a single cause. His proprietary 'Performance, Restoration, and Optimization (PRO) Method' provides a structured clinical framework comprising four phases—Stabilize, Restore, Optimize, and Sustain—to guide individualized assessment and care.

The process begins with a comprehensive Performance Assessment that evaluates factors such as digestion, stress, sleep, hormone function, mental health, and energy regulation. The findings help determine which underlying contributors may be affecting cognitive function and inform each patient's treatment plan.

Based on the assessment, treatment recommendations may include naturopathic medicine, auricular medicine, bioenergetic assessment, and nutritional and lifestyle guidance. According to Dr. Cook, this root-cause approach is intended to address the physiological factors contributing to stress-related brain fog rather than focusing solely on symptom management.

Patients can book in-person appointments at Healthflow Naturopathic in Calgary or schedule virtual consultations. Direct billing is available through most insurance providers for eligible appointments.
