A report by the America Psychological Association and in Counseling Today, a publication of the American Counseling association highlights the rapid growth of psychotherapy and family counseling services. Today, Americans may access key mental health services online or at physical locations.
The expansion announced by Lifeworks makes the practice’s core services in the areas of stress management, ADHD diagnosis, marriage & family counseling, and other forms of psychotherapy available to a larger patient base. All counseling and therapy services are personalized to the needs of a patient and are designed to help them live healthier and more productive lives.
The Mt. Pleasant family counseling center also offers couples’ counseling, biofeedback, and assessment services for adults, children, and adolescents. Therapy and counseling services are delivered in 45-50 minute sessions and involve a comprehensive, holistic overview of a patient’s medical condition, fitness, and medication regimen. To this end, the practice consults with a patient’s healthcare professionals including physicians, dietitians, massage therapists, and physical trainers while customizing a course of treatment.
According to a spokesperson for the Mt. Pleasant psychotherapy practice, “At Lifeworks, we work hard to help you to identify your own goals and resources, your strengths and weaknesses, and to help you to mobilize yourself to the project of living better. We are delighted to make our core counseling and therapy services available to a wider circle of patients.”
Lifeworks is a full-service psychotherapy and counseling center headquartered in Mt Pleasant, SC, 5 miles east of downtown SC. The practice is headed by Dr. Brian Sullivan, a clinical psychologist with more than 24 years of experience and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Jennifer Brown.
