Creative Diagnostics Releases Matched Antigen Pairs to Advance Serology Test Development

To advance the antigen detection of diagnostic kit development, Creative Diagnostics now offers matched antigen pairs for serology test development.

Up to August 9, More than 19 million people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) globally, and at least 722,000 have died. In the U.S., nearly 5 million people have tested positive and more than 160,000 have died. Now, a number of false negative results have been reported, resulting in a failure to isolate infected patients. Since titers of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies can reflect the progress of viral infection, consistent clinical manifestations suggested that antibody could act as an indicator of the stage of COVID-19 progression.
Creative Diagnostics now provides matched antigen pairs of SARS-CoV-2 Spike/RBD which are expressed in HEK293 cells, mainly covering the following products:

These antigens are post-translationally modified (glycosylation and phosphorylation) which resemble the native viral proteins, being able to overcome specificity issues in serology assays. They can be used for research on antibodies detection to SARS-CoV-2 in double-antigen sandwich immunoassay.
