Dallas, Aug 18, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Digestive Health Associates of Texas, P.A. (DHAT) welcomes Dr. Rushikesh (Rush) Shah to its growing group of Board-Certified Gastroenterologists serving the DFW Metroplex.
Dr. Shah joins DHAT after completing his fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine where he was an Advanced Endoscopy Fellow and was appointed Chief Fellow. He was awarded outstanding fellow research mentor during his time at Emory. Prior to that, he completed his residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. Dr. Shah received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Patil Medical College in Pimpri, Pune, India.
Shah received his license from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2015. His professional career includes working at SUNY Upstate Medical University Health Care Center; as a Research Coordinator at Methodist Hospital and as a Research Co-Investigator at UT Southwestern Medical School, both in Dallas, Texas. He also worked as an Interventional IBD visiting CCFA Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio prior to completing his Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at Emory University.
With medical specialties that include Advanced Endoscopy, Pancreatic diseases, Hepatobiliary diseases, Endoscopic ultrasound, and Quality Improvement, Shah will be working along-side seven other Board-Certified Gastroenterologists in the DHAT office located at Baylor Hospital Downtown Dallas.
