As for his academic appointment, he served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in disciplines ranging from General Internal Medicine to Palliative Medicine and Medical Education at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. His role as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Marshall University reflects his commitment to fostering the growth of aspiring medical professionals. Furthermore, Dr. Vettikal's dedication to medical education extended to his position as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
