Hamilton, Victoria-based animal rescue organization Lynn’s Rescue Sanctuary announced an emergency fundraising campaign. The sanctuary provides a safe haven for hundreds of at-risk animals, including cats and dogs and is a wildlife haven currently in need of help.

A new fundraising campaign has been announced in support of Lynn’s Rescue Sanctuary. The effort of Lynn Hosking-Moore, has rescued hundreds of animals that shelter at the property. Wildlife also have a secure place from the surrounding grazing lands.

The latest campaign aims to raise public awareness of the importance of offering a safe space for animals that are being vulnerable to poaching, casual hunting, high-speed traffic and other risks. Her single handed commitment has seen a new speed limit in the vicinity where heavy vehicles were responsible for wildlife casualties. Not only did this provide respite but Lynn says “the truckies now nod and slow down as they previously were not aware of the carnage being caused. I am grateful they are trying.”
Lynn Hosking-Moore is committed to sheltering animals on her property, an old cattle farm with plenty of space for both wildlife and rescued pets. The 70-acre safe haven is currently threatened, with Lynn facing potential legal action which could cause her to lose her property through no fault of her own.
“After a lifetime of rescuing abandoned animals and being moved along so many times, with all the cats and dogs. Finally settling at this sanctuary 20 years ago. I am desperately needing help to keep this safe haven, for all of the animals that call this peaceful beautiful property home.” Lynn said

Over the past two decades at this sanctuary, Lynn has rescued hundreds of animals, some of them in life-threatening conditions. One of her most recent efforts is her campaign to stop kangaroo shootings. Her video showing an attempt to rescue a joey whose mother has been shot has gone viral on social media, with many people responding to her heart felt pleas.
A 67-year old disability pensioner, Lynn is now struggling to find the necessary funds to continue to provide a safe haven for animals.
