He completed his residency in internal medicine at the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Camden, Cooper University Hospital in 2009, and was named Chief Resident in 2010. Later, he completed his fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in 2013.
With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in hospice and palliative medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Active in the community, Dr. Shariff enjoys educating the public about palliative care and hospice as well as advance care planning through discussions organized by various organizations locally and nationally.
