Clinical cardiac electrophysiology (also referred to as cardiac electrophysiology, arrhythmia services, or electrophysiology), is a branch of the medical specialty of cardiology and is concerned with the study and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. An electrophysiologist (or an "EP") is a type of cardiologist. They are also qualified to perform special tests of the heart's electrical system, such as an electrophysiology study, or an ablation procedure.
An active participant in clinical trials in the field of cardiac electrophysiology, Dr. Lee is the first physician to implant the FDA-approved, MRI-compatible permanent pacemaker in the Midwest.
