One crucial aspect of your life after addiction recovery is maintaining independent sobriety. Drug rehab programs usually provide high levels of structures to reduce environmental triggers that can cause relapse to addiction. After rehab, addicts in recovery face many challenges and hindrances that can test their sobriety. Examples are as follows:

Finding a place to live
Readapting to healthy, daily life outside of rehab
Resuming to environmental living that is full of triggers
Obtaining a job
Getting easy access to drugs and alcohol that can cause relapse

Many rehab programs offer continuous care plans to help people cope with these challenges so they can maintain sobriety. Several options are also available to help the former addict with ongoing treatment, including aftercare programs and transitional housing.

There Is More after Addiction Recovery Apart from Sobriety
