Following the announcement, the hotel provides special offers exclusively available to individuals who reserve their rooms directly through The Blue Moon Hotel’s website, providing two different ways for vacationers to book their stay at reduced rates. The more favorable packages are offered to guests who either book their reservation at least two weeks in advance or stay at least three days at the hotel before December 26th.

The recently announced special offers make staying at this award-winning, 1879-restored hotel more affordable for vacationers with an interest in enjoying the classic NYC ambiance. The Historic Blue Moon was fashioned out of Depression-era tenement apartments that were closed off for over 70 years, remaining untouched between the 1930s and 2001. As the property was transitioned into a hotel, the artist and architect Settembrino restored the tenement fixtures and amenities, merging them into the hotel’s retro look.
In 2021, the Blue Moon underwent another restoration, during which the architects repainted the property with soft blues and pale yellows. According to Settenbrino’s apprentice and daughter Ida, this redesign was carried out to accentuate various historical aspects of the property, like its Van Gogh-esque ceiling mural, etched marble mantles, and themed wall collages.
The historic hotel has been outfitted with various modern amenities, like complimentary premium Wi-Fi, large televisions, and eco-friendly shampoos and soaps. These join the period-piece room comforts like full-length bathtubs and the kitchenette.
The Sweet Dreams Cafe is an on-site kitchen and bakery that offers a variety of authentic New York Italian foods like biscotti, sfogliatelle, fresh focaccia, homemade gnocchi, and hand-made mozzarella.
The Historic Blue Moon Hotel has earned many distinguished honors and accolades, such as listings in National Geographic Traveler, New York Magazine Critic's Pick, and Rizzoli’s Best 100 Little Hotels.
