Old Testament Biblical Reflection for Christian Home Worship: Book Released
Sep 28, 2026
Eden Dickson has published First, Let Me Heal You, a book of biblical reflection organized around three Old Testament miracle stories, exploring themes of transformation and faith for personal and home worship.
Libertytown, United States, September 28, 2026 /PressCable/ -- Eden Dickson, a Christian author and speaker, has published "First, Let Me Heal You", a book combining biblical reflection, personal testimony, and encouragement for readers seeking hope and healing. The book is connected to Dickson's Substack newsletter, where she offers ongoing biblical encouragement and invites readers to explore how God's pattern of transformation might speak to their own circumstances.

Meditating on scripture has long been treated as a form of worship in its own right, distinct from prayer or singing but no less central to a life of faith. Dickson's book builds on that tradition, offering readers a defined structure for engaging biblical reflection at home rather than approaching the practice without guidance.
The book organizes its reflection around three accounts from the Old Testament: waters turned from bitter to sweet, barrenness turned to fruitfulness, and a path made where none existed. According to the book, these stories illustrate what Dickson calls God's pattern of transformation, offering readers a framework for examining pain, emptiness, or difficult circumstances in their own lives.
Beyond the stories themselves, the book moves readers through a sequence of stages meant for active engagement and acceptance rather than passive reading. Readers are asked to name their brokenness honestly, adopt a larger vision for their lives, and settle into an identity described in the book as beloved children in Christ.
"First, Let Me Heal You" combines fictional narrative, personal testimony, and biblical counsel, an approach several reviewers have noted for its accessibility. Dr. Patricia King, author, minister, and media host, called it "a beautiful and honest journey of healing," while Peter Reynolds, dean of biblical counselling at Grace Theological College in Auckland, New Zealand, described the book as offering "rich nuggets of scriptural truth applied powerfully to the Christian life."
The book reflects Dickson's broader focus on finding healing in places of pain, a theme she explores through her experience in marriage, mothering, and ministry. Readers can also subscribe to her Substack newsletter for ongoing biblical encouragement and updates connected to the book.
