Publishing Giant Storytel Teams Up With The Nuttery Entertainment To Bring Literary Works to Animation
Sep 13, 2021
Karlstad, Varmland Sep 13, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Swedish-based The Nuttery has signed an agency agreement with Storytel for the Swedish studio to exclusively represent a number of Storytel Originals books for animation. This slate of successful audiobook titles spans several genres across both younger and adult demographics. The Nuttery will seek international development and production partners on behalf of Storytel.
Among the titles included in the agreement are Black Dolphin, an action-packed thriller following an innocent man inside Russia's most infamous prison; RAM, a riveting and suspenseful thriller set in a near-future where the next frontier of personal data is being mined--our memories, and; the popular kids' book series The Glitch in the Code in which a young girl with a penchant for programming discovers a world beyond the code in dire need of a heroine.
"Storytel has been doing an amazing job in their originals department and we are honored and excited to try and bring these amazing literary worlds into the world of animation. It's an incredible opportunity to put our resources behind well-written, compelling stories that have already reached and fascinated an audience", says Magnus Jansson, CEO of The Nuttery
"We are excited and extremely proud to hopefully see our stories take new forms. And are both happy and confident that it is The Nuttery that will help us realize this.", says Sara Hasselström, Global Rights Agent at Storytel Publishing
