On September 29, 2020, The National Quilt Museum introduced Quilt Museum Digital. Quilt Museum Digital allows quilt enthusiasts to enjoy National Quilt Museum exhibits and other exclusive programming from home by PC, Tablet, or Smart Phone.
The National Quilt Museum is the cornerstone of Quilt City, USA, Paducah, KY. As a global attraction, the museum annually hosts visitors from all 50 US states and over 40 foreign countries. The museum works to exhibit as many talented artists as possible, as such; the artwork exhibited in the museum galleries changes 8 to 12 times per year. Most quilt and fiber art enthusiasts are unable to come to the museum to see every exhibit in person. This has become especially true in 2020 due to the pandemic. With Quilt Museum Digital, everyone passionate about quilting will be able to enjoy museum exhibits and other exciting content anywhere and anytime.
National Quilt Museum CEO, Frank Bennett, states, "The museum mission is to bring the work of today's quilters and fiber artists to audiences around the world. With Quilt Museum Digital, quilt enthusiasts will be able to see more of the best of the best in quilt and fiber art, and the hard working artists we work with will be able to bring their work to a much wider audience.”
Quilt Museum Digital is kicking off with one of the most acclaimed current touring exhibits, OURstory: Human Rights Stories in Fabric curated by Susanne Jones. Forty-seven amazing artists tell stories about the history of human rights in this moving and poignant exhibit. All Quilt Museum Digital subscribers will have immediate access to this exhibit and exclusive interviews with the exhibit curator and exhibit artists.
Quilt Museum Digital Subscribers will receive all of the following benefits:
1. Access to all digital exhibit experiences filmed from The National Quilt Museum galleries
2. Monthly interviews with artists represented in museum exhibits
3. Exclusive subscriber-only content, including special digital-only exhibits and behind-the-scenes videos
4. Access to the Museum Video Vault
Quilt Museum Digital subscriptions are currently at the special launch price of only $8 per month. Subscribers can cancel at any time. Individuals that subscribe now will lock in this rate. To subscribe now, go to www.QuiltMuseumDigital.com.
The National Quilt Museum is a 501c3 nonprofit primarily funded by people passionate about quilting. Supporting programs such as Quilt Museum Digital directly funds museum programming.
