December 20, 2021 - /PressAdvantage/ - Real Deal Northeast Dallas Sober Living is encouraging those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction to find out more about its facilities and services all over the state of Texas to get the help they need and kick their substance addiction.

Drug and alcohol abuse is a public health issue of national importance and has been so for a while now. According to 2017 statistics from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), 19.7 million American adults (aged 12 and older) battled a substance use disorder. Almost 3 out of 4 of those adults struggled with an alcohol use disorder, either as the primary affliction or as codependency. Almost 4 out of 10 suffered from addiction to illicit drugs which along with the physical and mental dependence also brings the specter of incarceration if they happen to cross paths with the authorities at an inopportune time. Opioids are particularly deadly as in 2017, more than 47,000 Americans died as a result of an opioid overdose, including prescription opioids, heroin, and illicitly manufactured fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid. The same number of opioid overdose deaths went up to over 50,000 in 2019.

Those who are suffering from life-crippling addictions usually take up the solace of substance use in the first place due to the monumental life challenges that they face on a daily basis and their adverse financial conditions. Once addicted, their body soon gives out, and mentally it becomes hard to keep up with productive actions such as holding down a job, maintaining a healthy support system in the form of family and friends, and taking care of oneself. The difficult life circumstances that led them to partake in the escapism then make it even more difficult to break out of the vicious cycle. According to drug addiction experts, the only way to battle the aforementioned destructive behaviors is to seek professional help in the form of drug and alcohol rehab.

Real Deal Sober Living is helping those struggling with substance abuse get back a firm grasp on their life through its many locations all over Texas. The center was founded in 2015 and opened up its first facility in 2016. The center places importance on the absolute basics required to overcome substance abuse such as inculcating discipline through diet and exercise, helping patients find answers to the questions that bother them the most by discovering spirituality, helping them reconnect with their family and loved ones, promoting self-care through cleanliness and hygiene, and it also helps them find gainful employment so that they have a real chance of overcoming their demons and moving on with their lives once they leave the sober living facility. A review of the center’s facilities in Plano, Texas, from a grateful patient, says, “My experience with Real Deal was nothing short of amazing. Real deal was a perfect springboard for me to get back into "real life". I spent 3 months at the Plano house and it was like one big family. I loved coming home and just hanging with the guys and going to meetings. The environment was very laid back and was very good for my early recovery. Thank you Real Deal and thank you Phillip! 5 stars!”
