With the launch of the Private Event Service, families throughout San Francisco can now enjoy the culinary secrets that define a variety of proud cultures. This family-owned local business strives to honor tradition before innovation.
Above all, Pico offers food “derecho del Corazon”, or in English, ` straight from the heart. The Latin food restaurant is serving traditional Latin food from the hearts of people not just from Mexico but further South of the border. They are confident that they serve the best Latin cuisine in California.
Experience a Salvadoran pupusa revuelta just like one from a street stall in Juayua, or a Caribbean style tostone with mariscos and a cold lager. They serve exotic Latin American foods from such places such as the coast of Roatan. the streets of Mexico, Central America all without ever leaving the comfort of home.
One of their featured favorites is the Pupusa Plate which is two pupusas (choose your flavors) served with “curtido,” a traditional pickled cabbage & papaya slaw, plantains, rice, and black beans.
Two vegetarian favorites are The Hongo and the EL Granada. The Hongo is a vegetarian favorite which consists of roasted mixed mushrooms, tofu, smoked garlic “mojo”, poblano chiles, arugula, and lime. El Granada is organic greens, green papaya, grilled sweet corn, toy box tomato, tortilla strips, queso fresco, toasted pepitas, avocado, mint, pomegranate seeds, and jalapeño lime dressing.
Other favorites are the Cochinta Pibil which are two tacos, citrus braised pork carnitas, pickled red onions cilantro crema, and roasted habanero salsa, Pan Con Pavo which is a traditional Salvadoran sandwich that has butter lettuce, radish, and cucumbers. The Del Mar Taco is a fresh fillet breaded or “a la plancha” style Taco with cilantro, lime slaw, and guacamole.
