Scotch Plains,United States - December 22, 2022 /NewsNetwork/ —
The mental wellness coach is now working with children of all ages who are presenting with signs of anxiety and depression. Kairos Chronic Pain Coaching appreciates that no one is too young to experience these severe and damaging mental disorders, but they also believe that there is hope for children and young people to recover from these conditions and rediscover happiness, joy, fulfillment, and inner peace.

Although people tend to associate childhood with a halcyon period of innocence and play, the facts show that severe clinical depression and anxiety are on the rise. Kairos Chronic Pain Coaching has updated its coaching services for children in the wake of the CDC’s most recent figures that reveal that 10% of children aged 3-17 now have diagnosed anxiety, and almost 5% in the same age range have diagnosed depression.
Kairos Chronic Pain Coaching appreciates that for parents, it may be difficult to ascertain whether one’s child has depression or anxiety, beyond the normal mood swings or stressful periods that can accompany the different phases of a child’s life.
As such, if a young child is displaying severe phobias or profound social or generalized anxiety, including separation anxiety, the center notes that they can be a first port of call to get to the heart of the issue. This is also true for a child who is showing changes in mood, eating habits, and sleeping patterns, or is exhibiting feelings of sadness or self-destructive behaviors.
Kairos Chronic Pain Coaching will work to equip their young patient with the coping skills and strategies they need to manage complex emotions and challenging situations and to rewire damaging thought processes and behavioral tendencies. They also work alongside traditional GPs and other psychiatric practitioners as needed.
Should a child or young person be suffering from a similar condition, including OCD, an eating disorder, ADHD, or generalized insecurity and self-consciousness issues, the center can also assist.
Kairos Chronic Pain Coaching, LLC was founded by Christina H Chororos, a mental health, integrated wellness, and pain management coach with a background in social work with children and teenagers.
A spokesperson for the clinic said, “As a mental health coaching service, we teach our young client’s coping strategies – practical, actionable, problem-solving skills that can be applied so that they can self-manage difficult situations and emotions, harmful thinking patterns, and impulsive responses and reactions.”
