Ongoing Blood Drives a Way for Practice to Show Commitment to Community Involvement

Sea Girt Medical Associates held its latest community blood drive on August 16 from 9:30 to noon at its Manasquan office, 235 Rt. 71, Manasquan, NJ 08736.
The blood drive continued a series of ongoing collaborations between Sea Girt Medical Associates and the Central Jersey Blood Center. The Central Jersey Blood Center has served the residents of New Jersey with life saving blood products for over 50 years. The team at Sea Girt Medical Associates has helped the nonprofit fulfill its core vision of providing safe, high-quality blood products and services to patients in need.
The Central Jersey Blood Center brought its mobile drawing unit to the event to create a friendly, welcoming setting for donating blood. Sea Girt Medical Associates physicians encouraged local residents to participate in the blood drive, citing the importance of maintaining a healthy blood supply for the community. Many surgical procedures require blood transfusions, and every donation can help save someone’s life.
The blood drives are just one way Sea Girt Medical Associates is involved in its community. “Along with running the blood drives, we also support the National MS Society in their fight against Multiple Sclerosis,” said practice co-founder Peter Kuzmick, D.O. “We sponsored two riders in their annual 185 mile MS Bike Tour from Long Branch to Cape May. The event raises money for advanced research and to deliver services that assist MS patients in living fuller lives.”
