Many experts believe that mental stimulation can help to prevent cognitive decline, which is of particular interest in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and associated dementias. With the enhanced services, Elder Managed Care aims to provide an enjoyable and stimulating activity, while helping clients to document and record their life.
According to the CDC, it is estimated that around 5.8 million Americans suffer from Alzheimer’s disease or an associated condition. Of those, 5.6 million are in the over 65 age group. The center predicts that, by 2060, those numbers will increase to approximately 14 million.
Given those statistics, it is unsurprising that much attention is now being given to treatment approaches. Elder Manage Care has noted the discussions surrounding cognitive stimulation. The company’s most recent enhancements are designed to engage the mind of clients in the familiarity of their home environment.
The services can include creative conversation, help with recalling and organizing ideas, writing practice, proofreading, author mentorship, and editing. Clients can also now tailor the services to meet their own requirements.
