“The winter season is typically busy at Superior Towing rescue team headquarters,” says Cyrus Sutherland, the company representative. “We had even busier days during the holidays, and our entire organization is gearing up for the freezing season.”

Perilous snow snowstorms and extreme weather largely contribute to most of the vehicular breakdowns and stranded motorists on the road every winter. The tow truck company is encouraging motorists to be especially prepared. Driving with great tension and fear on slippery roads normally builds up when thoroughfares have increased congestion, mainly during rush hours.

As part of their preparations, Superior Towing has added to its roster new emergency rescue teams on standby. The teams were deployed in response to the anticipated demand for roadside help and to provide faster response times to drivers in need. The need for rescue to arrive at the customer’s location needs to be faster during the winter season. If drivers need to brave up against the chilly rain and ice when attempting to leave home, confronting the cold weather when one gets stranded outside is even more challenging.

With this initiative, the company has effectively intensified its presence in the surrounding areas of Stezirky, Sendrazice, Hradek, Charbuzice, Freihofen, Svobodne Dvory and others. Getting stranded anywhere in Des Moines will no longer entail customers to wait more than 30 minutes to wait for rescue. Tow crews from the company can promptly arrive, fix or tow their vehicles and save them from the cold. Drained batteries and car lockouts are very common during the winter season. Batteries can easily die down due to cold weather. Meanwhile, the cold temperature can also freeze the locking systems of the cars. When these happen, motorists can call Superior Towing to obtain professional assistance. They can simply call their customer hotline number at (515) 608-8628 or contact the company online via their website.

Sutherland discourages drivers who lack knowledge and skill to deal with car troubles on their own. Jumpstarting batteries can be dangerous if not done correctly. They can also be riskier because of wet conditions. Thawing car locks or windows by pouring hot water can damage the electronic lock system or break glass windows respectively. Superior Towing has the right professionals who have the right know-how, right skills and the right equipment to do the job quickly, competently and safely.

The company’s towing technicians also perform spare tire change, fuel solutions, winch out services and other minor mechanical troubleshoots to help twitch and fire up a frozen car. They can also perform a quick diagnosis and haul the car to accredited auto mechanics for rigorous repairs for intensive and more demanding car failure issues.

Sutherland recommends that motorists take preventive action before driving during snowy conditions. This includes parking vehicles in a covered carport, lubricating surfaces, and pulling wipers from windshields, among others. He also offers other tips when handling frozen vehicles such as to avoid pouring hot water on frozen windows or using power window buttons. When driving on the other hand, he advised motorists to drive slow, buckle up and to avoid using cruise control.

With winter already starting, the company reminded motorists to use caution and give themselves spare time when driving. In the event of an emergency car breakdown or getting stuck on the road, however, they encourage them to call Superior Towing for professional roadside assistance.
