Furthering his training, he performed his residency in internal medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center from 2004-2007, followed by his fellowship in rheumatology at the National Capital Consortium from 2009-2011.
Board certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology, the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
After serving for eight years at the San Antonio Military Medical Center, Dr. Hoffmann retired from the Army. During his tenure, he held a position on the faculty of the rheumatology fellowship program, where he contributed to the training of rheumatologists and internists.
