Big Town Hero, a sandwich restaurant chain with branches throughout the state of Oregon, has launched a new community initiative asking their customers to nominate a local hero.

In the midst of another difficult and troubling year, the initiative is designed to remind people about the bonds shared between community members and the power everyone has to act for the common good.
Using their iconic brand name as a prompt, the franchisees of Big Town Hero are looking for tales of heart, determination, kindness and vision. The aptly titled Hero Program will see the traits of local heroes shared, commended and celebrated within each restaurant.
The company is excited to see what traits their customers believe make a hero and are looking forward to being inspired by the goodness of their customer base. Those customers who nominate their personal hero will also have the chance to win a complimentary lunch of their choosing at their nearest Big Town Hero.
Big Town Hero has restaurants in Gresham, Lebanon, Albany, Central Point, Hillsboro, Springfield, Stayton, Tigard and Tualatin.
The restauranteurs want their customers to know that all types of heroes with all types of tastes are welcome in their franchises, and they have an inclusive menu with vegetarian, vegan, gluten and dairy-free options.
Big Town Hero is a family-led franchise which prides itself on its fresh store-baked bread and use of high quality ingredients. Taking the Italian name for a type of sandwich that is big enough to share amongst family and friends, they use the word hero as a mantra for their business and strive to celebrate the achievements of their employees and community members.
