Wholly Veggie Launches at Whole Foods
Plant-based food brand Wholly Veggie continues their path to be the category leader for healthy, veggie-forward snacks and apps.
Starting July 14, Wholly Veggie's Buffalo Cauliflower and Ranch Cauliflower Wings will be found at 480 Whole Foods stores across the United States in the frozen, meat alternative set. To help facilitate the launch, the brand will be setting up its U.S office in Austin, Texas, and will be partnering with Presence Marketing.
Already a consumer phenomenon as the #1-selling meat alternative wing in North America, Wholly Veggie's Buffalo Cauliflower and Ranch Cauliflower Wings feature fresh cauliflower florets in the brand's patented gluten-free, vegan coating, giving the product its distinctive crunch.
"We've seen tremendous growth this last year on our brand both with consumer adoption and retail distribution due to the hard work of our team and support of our retail partners," said David Gaucher, Co-CEO of Wholly Veggie. "We're thrilled to be launching nationwide with Whole Foods, validating our view that plant-based shoppers are looking for more than just meat analogues. Our goal is to democratize plant-based foods for everyday shoppers, and make plant-based food part of daily life."
Launching with Whole Foods is the latest milestone in Wholly Veggie's mission of putting more vegetables on more plates and comes on the heels of national distribution for its products with Target, National Coop Group, and Loblaws, and recent expansion in the Midwest and North East, with Moms Market, Roche Bros, and FoxTrot. Wholly Veggie is now distributed in over 3,500 stores across North America, with plans to double its retail footprint through continued U.S expansion in 2022. Wholly Veggie's retail distribution is complemented by its e-commerce platform, which ships directly to customers across North America.
The omnichannel reach of Wholly Veggie drives its mission of meeting consumers where they are with products they'll love. Whether it's pizza, patties, wings, or bowls, Wholly Veggie reimagines the most popular foods in culture with quality vegetables. All Wholly Veggie products are plant-based, non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy-free. Wholly Veggie donates product and a percentage of proceeds to Community Food Centres Canada, which addresses food insecurity by supplying good food to at-need communities.
"Wholly Veggie's promise is food you can believe in," said Johnathan Bonnell, co-CEO of Wholly Veggie. "Whether it's rethinking your favorite restaurant appetizer, quick-service guilty pleasure or a culinary twist on mainstream meals, we deliver the vegetables you value in the foods you love."
